HAMILTON LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT

COMMERCIAL ADVISORY

$5 BILLION CAD

BTTC provided strategic commercial advisory services for a complex 14-kilometre multi-modal light rail corridor project. Navigating municipal and provincial stakeholder alignment, we led early-stage commercial activities providing strategic advisory services to the project delivery team (PDT). Our team designed and facilitated collaborative workshops between Metrolinx and the City of Hamilton, developed progressive contracting frameworks including the Alliance Development Agreement (ADA) and Project Alliance Agreement (PAA) and implemented innovative procurement strategies, including a behavioural assessment process, to ensure alignment with collaborative goals.

Our involvement resulted in strong alignment between key stakeholders, fostering trust and a shared vision for project success, efficient mobilisation of the Development Phase through tailored RFP and RFQ processes and enhanced stakeholder confidence, enabling the project to proceed with clear, actionable objectives and reduced risk of contractual disputes.
