BTTC was commissioned to provide project and program management services at both delivery and senior leadership level for BTH, a transformative project creating a combined rail and bus station. We focused on strategic interface management and a collaborative procurement model that reduced capital costs, improved scheduling, and enhanced performance. Our intervention accelerated completion by 12 months, saved £10 million, introduced advanced contractual performance metrics, and delivered a knowledge transfer program. By applying data-led collaboration tools and continuous cost monitoring, we ensured effective delivery while strengthening the client’s capability to manage complex rail projects. Key contributions included collaborative assessment criteria, an incentivisation model, and a performance management regime that embedded best practices for future success.
