In October 2024, it was announced that Innes Murray ChPP, Operations Manager at BTTC, was awarded the Social Value Champion award by the Social Value Portal.
This award honours individuals and organisations that have made remarkable contributions to the Social Value Economy, championing initiatives that benefit society and create a sustainable future. Innes stood out for his exceptional commitment, aligning social value with BTTC’s core operations since joining the company in 2019.
Under Innes’s leadership, BTTC has launched impactful initiatives such as the Cycle to Work scheme in the UK, encouraging sustainable commuting, and the Building Brighter Futures programme in Canada. Through this initiative, 1% of BTTC’s pre-tax profits in Canada go directly toward supporting Indigenous students in post-secondary education, contributing to equitable opportunities for all. Innes has also been a driving force behind BTTC’s partnership with Business in the Community. Aligning to our key strategic goals of ‘leaving a lasting legacy’ and ‘passion for our people’, this partnership allows BTTC to give back to our communities through their Job Coaching Programme by assisting those facing barriers to employment th rough a series of coaching sessions.
“Innes’s passion for social value continues to inspire all of us at BTTC,” said Rhiannon Price, Operations Director. “This award not only celebrates Innes’s personal achievements but also highlights BTTC’s commitment to leaving a lasting legacy on the communities we serve. We are incredibly proud of Innes and grateful for his contributions.”
