BTTC today has been assessed as having met the intent of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business‘ (CCIB) Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) Committed Phase 1 process.
PAIR is a certification program that confirms corporate performance in Indigenous relations, signalling to communities that companies involved with PAIR are:
– good business partners,
– great places to work,
– committed to prosperity in Indigenous communities.
PAIR’s certification program provides a high level of assurance to communities because the designation is supported by independent and third-party verification of company reports.
BTTC is committed to respectfully working with the Indigenous peoples of Canada, promoting employment and business opportunities, educating our employees and ensuring that our workplace is a proactive and welcoming environment for indigenous peoples. PAIR Committed participation indicates our commitment to continual improvement in Indigenous relations and intention to undergo external verification of our performance in the future. We are proud to show our dedication to building bridges with Indigenous communities, demonstrated through our participation in the PAIR program.
In 2025, BTTC’s Indigenous Relations Working Group will be continuing our work in this field with the purpose of meeting advancing our commitment and meeting the intent of Phase 2 of the Committed process.
